Well Summer time has already come and gone. Riverson really picked up swimming this summer she is getting really good. She loved her swim lessons and even still asks me to go. We had a nice time traveling to Houston, we took a trip to the beach, played with friends. ( Wyatt- Katy Monson son, and Ako's girls- Sloan and Ava).

We also spent some time seeing friends in Dallas and FTW. Below are the Sawyer and McWhirters girls, with the new arrival of little Elliot. ( She's a beauty)

In August we took a trip down to Houston for a week to see friends and family. Riverson celebrated her birthday ice cream, cookies, and lots of gifts. This was the first birthday party she has really ever had. She loved it.

Happy Easter! We had a nice beautiful Easter here in Lubbock. Riverson had a few egg hunts we spent the weekend with some great friends and enjoyed the weather outside. A few weeks back we took Riverson and some friends to Sesame Street, she loved it, but we were exhausted. She and jagger are such buddies now, and she is talking so much.

Larkin is growing fast she is 6 weeks old and is sleeping great. I have to say she is almost going through the night but I'm not going to complain about 7 hours of sleep a night. If momma is happy baby is happy!

Well we are getting a little settled in with having another baby in the house. I'm not gonna lie...it is hard to get out of the house, and it seems like all I do it cook, feed people, clean, dress, undress, change diapers all day! We have so much support from friends bringing dinner and helping out and all the cute gifts from family and friends. My mom also came in to help me juggle the girls, she was a huge help. All in all we are just taking one day at a time. Riverson is such a great helper and she loves her little sister. She still calls her "the baby" or "my sister". Her Aunt Char got her this great little dress up tutu/fairy outfit, it is hilarious. Here are a few pic of Larkin, she is growing fast. 4 weeks this Friday.

Friday March 11th we welcomed our newest member to the Sawyer Family- Larkin Byrd Sawyer. She was named after her great great-grandmother. We are very blessed to have a healthy baby to love on every day. Riverson is very helpful with her baby sister and is adjusting well. She is a good easy baby ( so far) and we cant wait for everyone to meet her soon. Lots of love

The Renovations are DONE

Happy New Year! Well after months of renovating we finally have a lot to show for it. Zach and I were thrilled to have our house done this past December. Then came the holidays so we relaxed and enjoyed our first Christmas in our new house. After many request from family and friends here is a little glimpse into the hard work.

First of all this entire house was covered with wall paper, even fabric on the walls. Lots of carpet and nothing was painted. I posted pictures earlier on the rest of the house...but here are a few more.

We could not have done this kitchen without Jimmy's help! He helped us move the wall, redesign the kitchen by moving the oven/range to the corner while adding a vent. Look at the beautiful island he built and of course the wine insert above the fridge that I especially wanted. All in all it was a fun project for all of us. Thanks Jimbo....I have alot of friends that would hire you! haaaaa

We spent Christmas in Houston this year! Riverson had a blast!

Us girls had a great time at our Christmas gift exchange, good time with new and old friends. I love Christmas parties! Everyone here in Lubbock has been so welcoming and friendly I wanted to do something to say thanks!

We attended the Sawyer Family Xmas again this year. We always have such a good time seeing everyone each year. The little kids were the main entertainment! Riverson got to s spend time with her cousin Emmie and new baby Tom.

We headed to Oklahoma at the first of December to the Isoms Ranch, it was so nice to get out of town and see our good ole friends. We had a blast with the kiddos and spent some time outdoors. We really miss our good friends and hope to see them regularly!

We are starting this December with lots of fun activities for Riverson. We did the traditional Tech Carol of Lights, if you are a red raider you know what this is. Always fun for the kiddos to see. We joined Riverson's friend Lola to make gingerbread houses at the Tech Club, where she spent most of the time eating the candy. She really enjoyed it. We have also started getting to know and talking with Santa. More to come.....

Thanksgiving was really nice and relaxing, we finished working on the kitchen renovations and spent alot of quality time together. Football season has come to an end now, too bad the raiders did not have a great season...we will hope for better next year. Riverson and I got away for a quick trip to Houston last month to see Grandma and GG, and her pal Sloan, which she loves spending time with.

We had a wonderful first Halloween here in Lubbock. We trick or treated with friends as we roamed through our new neighborhood...which I love. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We recently experienced a corn maize, and we have been out in about this month doing all sorts of Halloween activities.

Well we have been busy......still working on the renovations, but we can see an end to it all and our check book!
Riverson got her very first hair cut this week. We only did an inch, and it took about 5 minutes...all in all she hated it!
Riverson and I had quite a bonding experience lately....ummm POTTY TRAINING! oh goodness, it ended up great and she is peeing on the potty- Whoo Hoo. I'm amazed, my little girl is growing up.
On top of that we found out we are having another little girl! I selfishly wanted a girl, I have always wanted to experience the closeness of sisters and I guess I can live through my girls! Zach is totally out numbered- sorry babe! I cant wait to live through all this fun stuff.

Well we cant believe our little baby girl is 2! we are having so much fun with her and she has a really cute personality. She and jagger are getting well adjusted in our new home. They are like two peas in a pod. He watches every move she makes and even has to sleep under her bed at night. We have made quite a milestone lately. Riverson has moved to her big girl bed. It was a piece of cake. She loves it and we are so happy it was that simple.

She has been meeting new friends here in Lubbock. She played with all her new Friends at Lola's birthday party this past weekend. She got some fun big girl gifts this birthday, and she can say she is two years old....(we ask her at least 3 times a day. )

We are moved in finally and I will have updated pics soon. We love the new house and neighborhood.

Well we are here in Lubbock and getting well acquainted. In 4 weeks ( a Month) we sold a house moved, bought a new house and now are renovating it! Whew! it has been a world-wind to say the least. If any couple can make it through a move you can make it through anything! I guess at this point this is the 4th time for Zach and I to move since we have been married. It is funny to think we are back in Lubbock, if you would have asked us a year ago...where do you see yourself in the next year....It wasn't Lubbock. So we laugh. Somewhere in this big city girl....I have always loved Lubbock. We are loving the small simple way of life. The beautiful sunsets and the amazing weather...you just cant beat! I must say I have forgotten....so it is a breath of fresh air. Riverson has been enjoying her mothers day out during the week. We have been very busy getting the house ready...which sound like a headache but I love this stuff and so does Zach. More to come on the house later.......

We are enjoying the spring and soon to be summer weather....as we soak up our last days in Dallas, we are spending time with the ones we love! We are so fortunate to have such great friends, to help see us off. It is bittersweet leaving the Big D, we will really miss the mature trees, our wonderful neighbors, the arboretum, walks around white rock, Mi Conica & Ozonas. Well we have been busy lately....mainly spending time outdoors, and in this beautiful weather. Riverson is at such peace when she is outdoors, she loves it.

We have spent alot of time at the Dallas Arboretum, mainly because we are going to miss it so much! We are frequently at White Rock walking with friends, and story time at the book store-which gets her very excited. She is the loudest kid there!....I think she gets that from me! Anyhow she love books just like her daddy.

The last few weeks have been chilly here in Dallas, however this week was crazy with all the snow we got. There is nothing like staying in all day watching the snow fall and starting a fire, I have to say I am excited to be a stay at home mom now - last week was officially the first week for me to experience it......I am slowing adjusting, but I get more and more excited each day- what to do with all this time, love it!!!!!!. Riverson, Jagger and I played in the snow and took lots of pictures. We made a trip to FTW for little Rowans first birthday, boy! time is flying! Valentine's Day morning was one I will treasure for some time, just being lazy in bed with my family, a cup of coffee, watching cartoons! Riverson enjoyed her little holiday her favorite items-her music card from her dada and the cookie monster!

Well we have some exciting news, the sawyer family is moving to Lubbock. Yes it is official, we are headed back to the simple little town that always puts a smile on our face. Zach took a great job opportunity that he is so excited about. We are in transition right now, selling the house, getting things wrapped up here. Riverson is 17 months! We are having so much fun with her. She is eating very well, has all but two teeth, and has started running- not walking...everywhere Last week she started using her fork to eat with...I started screaming when I saw her pick it up without me knowing.
She says a few words, but mainly she has her own language which she speaks to Jagger...since he follows her everywhere she goes. She takes his toys all the time and he patiently waits for her to give them back. They are best buds!

Well Riverson celebrated her second Xmas but the first one where she knew what was going on. The girl was spoiled with fun toys and new clothes! She is just growing so fast, everyday we look at her and think she is practically an adult. She loved her new car Santa brought her. I couldn't help dressing her up either. We headed to Lubbock to spend her first Xmas with Nana and Papa. I think they were more into it than she was.....great grandma Lovell got her a baby she just can't let go of. We got to spend time with Uncle Tucker and Aunt Meg, as they got their fill of kiddos with us and the Hardy's! We had a beautiful white Christmas and a nice visit with everyone. Boy did she love the snow. Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas! Cheers to the New Year and what is in store for 2010!

Zach's 30th birthday surprise party! I can't believe we pulled it off! It worked out so great Zach had no idea what we all had up our sleeves. Some of Zach closest buddies came in town for it and Dane helped me with the plan. We surprised Zach at his favorite place Top Golf (a guys place)....the guys enjoyed golf, drinks, food and football- what more could they ask for....oh and no wife's. Although we had our own fun! Thank you guys for coming and celebrating with him. Zach was all smiles the whole night and next day.

This Thanksgiving we stayed in Dallas- which actually was so nice. No traveling! We have never celebrated a holiday in our own home. We cooked, made fires, did a little shopping, watched alot of football, got the Christmas stuff up, and recharged! Oh and we ate, ate and then ate some more! We have alot to be thankful for a healthy baby girl, and roof over our heads and great people around us!

Get Busy Living

The last two weeks have been a world wind for me. I recently lost my dad to cancer and it was very sudden to say the least. Each day is getting better, but I still feel this emptiness in my heart. There is not a day that goes by that I do not stop and think about my dad, and how he is no longer here. This experience has put alot in perspective for me, and how someones life is so precious. Most of us live life thinking we will never loose a parent, we think they will be here forever. When something happens to them it hits you very hard. I was lucky enough to have great memories with my Dad and have spent alot of time with him in the last 5 years since we moved back to Dallas. He was such a wonderful grandpa to Riverson, and enjoyed our monthly visits as he spoiled her with gifts.

I can not thank all of Zach and I's wonderful friends enough- that have been so extremely supportive to me. I was so touched to see alot of you at my dad's wake and funeral. I have never had to do this so just thinking of every one's thoughtfulness brings tears to my eyes. My entire office and late co-workers were there for support too. I can not tell you all how touched I was by everyone gestures during this last week. It will never be forgotten.

Now, it is time to get busy living and enjoying the upcoming holidays with family and friends. I am looking forward to fun times, more great memories and little pieces of life that just make my heart melt.....life is short so make the best of it.

Riverson is 14 months today, we had a great check up this week with the doc. She is still in the 25% on weight.....weighing in 17.5 lbs. and 33 inches long! She is now on milk, and just loves real food, so it is a relief to not buy so much of that stuff anymore. She is very attached to her baby and lovie, and takes them with her everywhere. She loves talking on the cell phone- oh dear! Love car rides, and of course feeding jagger!

Well this past weekend I completed my first craft show here in lake Highlands! Check out Tweedy Bird for updates! To sum it up- it was a learning experience, I met so many new people, and enjoyed every minute. I hated not seeing my little monkey over the weekend.....but mama had to make some $$$$. I got lots of great feedback, and I have built quite the clientele here in Lake Highlands! I want to thank Zach for being so supportive, he has helped me more than he will know. He has taken care for Riverson which is the most helpful- without any complaints or football watching excuses. He would make runs to the store, and spent many nights cutting and pinning to help me out for this show. It has been alot of work and preparation, but it is something I enjoy. Thanks Zach for being such a supportive and loving husband to me during this process.

Well - yes I turned 30 today. I decided to leave work early and start drinking wine at 4:30 today- ahhh b/c I'm 30! I was kinda bummed that my twenties are completely over with, but all of my wonderful girlfriends made my day so special. I am spoiled.....thanks for all the B-day wishes everyone. My b-day weekend started with the rained out arboretum party- but we made our own fun.......then I enjoyed the 5k with Court & Ash! it was beautiful weather, our dear friends Tara & Peter threw an October fest party on Sat night...such a great party! Followed by brunch and a lazy Sunday! I could not have asked for anything more- celebrating life with the ones I love! Here's to 30 more years!

We recently went to H-town for a long weekend, mainly to see little Baby Sloan. Our friends Ako and Andrew's baby girl, whom is the cutiest thing I just wanted to eat her up. She is going to be a heart breaker when she gets older. Such a beautiful girl. We enjoyed a night out with the couple to take a break from the girls and have some fun! Then Saturday we went to see Paige Tarro at her 1st birthday party....she was having so much fun, what a happy birthday girl. Zach and I went to the Tech game and tailgated with some friends and watch the game with our friends Jake and Callie Loden. What a game!- but it was good times had by all!
Another great surprise was we got to visit with the Newtons, and see little Jackson- he is so sweet, Riverson was really into Jackson- uh-oh.

Well things are moving right along with Ms. Riverson she is such a little person, walking and talking. She loves her sippy cup and is no longer into baby food! She is eating all sorts of stuff including chicken and steak....she will put anything in her mouth. Hopefully we will put the formula to rest and get on milk- but the doctor wants her on formula for some time since she is an itty bitty thing! She follows mama and dada all over the house. She says hello and bye bye, uh-oh, and Agger. She will go to about anyone, just like jagger she loves giving kisses and being around people.

Zach and I celebrated our 5 yr anniversary! yea....we had a fun night out on the town, here is a pic to sum up 5 yrs! haaa! It makes us laugh when we think about the fact- that we met when we were 18 and the rest is history, no break ups just a long commitment, proposal, marriage and now a daily joy and mixture of both of us- Riverson. I recently looked back at our wedding video and laughed. We have such wonderful family and friends around us that have been there to see us along the way! I just wanted to say thank you.

For labor day we took a trip to the Mountains to see Nana and Papa, and Uncle Tom, and our newest addition cousin Emmie May. Riverson loved the outdoors. We took her on a long hike and she did great. Of course I was afraid of the mountain loins- but dada had his strap on! haaa. She also enjoyed the four wheelers- we went very slow on them and took many rides. It was so nice to get away and spend some time outdoors in this great weather, one of Zach and I's favorite things too do, and now we have a little one to share it with.

Well we made it through our first year, we still can't believe our peanut is already a year old. It has been such a fun year full of exciting experiences for everyone. Riverson is just such a little person, I wish she would stay this age forever. Her birthday was a blast, lots of fun with great friends and little kiddos running around. I have to admit I had to hold back the tears- sad she is growing up but thankful she is such a happy healthy girl. We celebrated RLS baptismal in Houston with family and close friends. We are so lucky, to be blessed with such a supportive family that was all there for her big day. Zach and I were proud parents on such a special day.

Well RLS has been very busy, she is talking her own language of course but can say momma and dadda all day! She is such a good eater but I still do not know were it goes b/c we are still not into 9 month clothes yet! She has 6 teeth already, loves her cookies, and the most exciting thing is she is walking!!!!! For the past few weeks we have seen it starting gradually, but she is comfortable taking about 5 steps! yea! we are so proud of her.

Zach and I finally got away this summer, we joined the McWhirters and hit up Mexico, Playa del Carmen that is. It was such a wonderful time, nice and relaxing and great to spend it with our best friends. The beach was excellent and I definitely recommend the place we stayed- Royal Hideaway,it is mainly a honeymooners spot and a first class resort! Here are some pics of the Sawyers and McWhirters- like the good ole days before kids! haaaaa

Riverson was very curious when she met baby Wyatt. We stopped by to see the Wood family and their newest addition.

Well let the celebrations begin, Akos baby shower for baby Sloan's arrive. She got lots of goodies and it was a good time- we can't wait to meet Riverson new BFF.

Happy Fathers Day

Well Zach celebrated his first fathers day! We surprised him as he woke, Riverson was waiting for him, so she could give him her present- an out door cooler and root beer. Then I gave daddy a night out to see Coldplay. We headed to have dinner with my dad and enjoyed our Sunday together with family - those are the best.
